Message I FINALLY got some Mike Smith exhaust manifolds.

All thanks to Bernie!, He said if he got a set, he would let me get in on them. He kept his word and I am a happy man!

First, I would like to say that these manifolds are super high quality.

I measured the inlets on the runners..
All of them are EXACTLY the same size

38.45mm X 50.15mm

Turbo collector measured

49.85mm X 38.52mm (The exact same size on my Turbo collector flange).

This just shows how great of quality these things are. I mean these things are so symmetrical. Both have the EGT bosses in the proper location to get accurate readings with plenty of meat to get a good solid tap, EGR permanently deleted (on my set).

Another note on the quality, The bolts, nuts, washers and studs are all pre-wrapped in their own separate baggies. Even the washers that are for the corner exhaust manifold shortend stud is trimmed off to fit. It is somthign that could be done in a few seconds with a grinder. BUT, This again just shows the attention to detail and quality.

I am SUPER impressed. I held at set @ Zcon, and seen pictures on the net all the time.. But nothing compares to having your own set to really study... Its like i'm falling in love.

You guys just dont know how excited I am to get this car back on the road. Specially with these manifolds that I have been anticipating for a few years now. I have not even drove my Z to feel real boost in over a year. Things are finally looking up!! after all these years of hard work (work, school work and labor is finally paying off :)

I just need to get on the ball with my 2.5" aluminum IC/Intake piping and Inlet pipes (Steel, heat wrapped) for the GT28RS turbos I'm using.. Should be together shortly.

I was planning on sending these manifolds out, along with my turbine housings to get extrude honed. But for these manifolds, there is no need. The internals are already oh, so smooth!

Bernie is a great guy to deal with as always.. I got lost on the way down to his house.. and he had to wait up for me to get there, and even offered me some beer :) He even gave me some of the elusive 60u00 filters. ( I swear I think he has a little sweat shop going that are still producing these things.. or he must have an airplane hanger full of them, lol)

I'll let the pictures speak for themselves.

Notice the pre-trimmed washer

One more thing to add

----------Bernie Bilski for PRESIDENT!!! =)------------

NO, This picture is not photoshopped. It took many times to take this picture. Setting up the timer, shutter speed etc, then jumping on my bike and getting the tire to spin.
